The Nine Line Foundation is so named in homage to the Nine Line Medevac request, the call made in the battlefield containing the nine lines of information needed to extract an injured service member from the battlefield. Like the Medevac call, the Nine Line Foundation aims to serve a similar purpose: providing a landline to injured veterans after they have returned home.
